The State Council released the revised “Regulation on the Implementation of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China”

The State Council issued Decree No. 721 of the State Council of the People's Republic of China on October 31, 2019: The revised “Regulation on the Implementation of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China” (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulation") is hereby released and will be implemented since December 1, 2019, with a total of 10 chapters and 86 articles.
 
The "Regulation" strengthens food safety supervision. Requiring the local people's governments above the county level to establish uniform and authoritative supervision and administration system, strengthen the construction of supervision and administration capabilities, improve the reporting and reward system, establish a blacklist system for serious illegal producers and operators to link up the credit status of food safety with access.
 
The "Regulation" improves basic systems such as food safety risk monitoring and food safety standards. Strengthen the use of food safety risk monitoring results, standardize the formulation of local standards for food safety, and clarify the record scope of corporate standards.
 
The "Regulation" further implement the food safety main responsibility of producers and operators, improve the legal responsibility for food safety violations.
